Winners are those who fight the unbeatable. Here we have three best examples of such heroism in young souls of Aakash Khatwani, Mahima Nagpal and Mayank Sharma. These three students, who have just passed 12th standard, are no ordinary youngsters. Well with their academic results this year, they have proved themselves to be the perfect examples of firm dedication, a dedication which can overcome any obstacle be it a god gifted disability.
These three young achievers have shown us how to beat the worst of odds and rise above any given circumstances. Each of theirs is one complete success story in itself, so let’s know about them individually.
Aakash Khatwani, who is now known as the ‘wonder boy’ of Agra, is one simple lad. His background has been elementary, but was always surrounded with achievers like his elder sisters. A student of Agra Public School, Aakash scored 74% and beat many who had the privileges of cable TV and etc.
Mahima Nagpal’s father’s monthly income is 10,000 Rs. Seeing the expensive times in which we are living right now, we can judge how difficult it must be for Mahima’s parents to make her this brilliant that she topped the Punjab School Education Board. She is undoubtedly a great student of RS Model Senior Secondary School in Ludhiana. Being an IAS officer aspirer, Mahima told the media that, “I never took any coaching. I study 18-20 hours daily and believe self study is the best.”
Mayank Sharma, is also another gem from Agra. He is deaf and mute but a miracle boy indeed. By scoring 80.2% in 12th UP Board exams, Mayank showed to the world and his fellow classmates that any disability becomes no disability if you have it in you. His zeal and commitment got him 4th rank in his school. For this 17 year old genius his school Principal had to say, “Mayank is a very bright student. Initially, we had faced problems in teaching him, but later with gradual understanding of sign language, we taught him.” While his friends shared that, “In junior classes when teachers use to teach us math table by asking us to recite the multiplications, Mayank use to observe our lips movement and learned the table. He is sheer genius.” Even Mayank like Mahima, wants to appear for civil services exam but after he gets a PhD in his favorite stream.
It is surprising how so young and simple people can teach us adults us a lot. These three young achievers are no less than true form of inspirations for everyone, be it students, parents and teachers. Even normal readers like us get that encouraging streak from them.
