There is 2018 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in London. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a four-day visit and has reached the UK today to attend this meeting. He has reached with the delegation of eight members. All the heads of the other countries are also attending the meeting. PM Modi will do bilateral and multilateral meetings with different heads of states. In fact, this visit will always be remembered by Modi as special chefs have appointed to prepare Gujarati delicacies for him. Know more.

What is there in the menu?
This time, he will get vegetarian dishes during London visit. PM Modi met Prime Minister of Britain Theresa May in the morning for breakfast. For his breakfast, he was served tea, coffee, poha, upma, puri, bhaji and sheera. Later, Prime Minister Modi and his delegation team will be served lunch at the Buckingham’s Taj hotel.

The menu will have more of the specific Gujarat delicacies like khaman dhokla, khandvi, dal, dal pakora, torai masala, stuffed karela, paneer bhurji, and khichdi. The food preparations will be done in pure clarified butter. He will get purely homemade food i.e. ‘ghar ka khana.’

Who will prepare the food?
To make breakfast for the Prime Minister’s bilateral meeting and lunch for the ongoing Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, Shenoy Karmani, Executive chef of St. James Court Taj Hotel in Buckingham Gate, has been appointed.

Theresa May, the British PM will be hosting dinner for the leaders of all the Commonwealth nations, participating in the Commonwealth Heads of Government summit.
