Rajasthan Budget 2017-18: The 4th budget session of Rajasthan state has been announced which added to the grandeur of this auspicious occasion. March 8th is marked as grand because of women’s day, CM Raje’s birthday and budget announcement for Rajasthan. In last three years, Rajasthan has been adorned with several awards and recognition because of its innovative schemes.
This Rajasthan budget 2017 was a beneficiary budget as it did not add anything to tax numbers but to the schemes for the state.
Below are some understandable changes which have been made in this year’s budget:
- Beautification of roads will be initiated with an expense of Rs. 500 crore
- RO plants will be established in all the village areas.
- To conserve Great Indian Bustard, DNPs will be improved with adding grasslands there.
- A replica of Smriti Van of Jaipur will be constructed in many other districts.
- A new scheme for farmers called Mukhyamantri Beej Swawlamban Abhiyan have been introduced.
- Aanganwadi workers will receive monthly monetary incentives.
- RAS exams’ top 100 candidates will receive Rs. 30,000 as gift.
- Self defense training will be provided to 3 lakh girls in the state

Apart from this, BPL girls monetary benefits have been doubled. Also, the extended VAT on cigarette will affect the buyers to a great deal. Where the well balanced budget have affected the cigarette trade, it has given boost to the deserving areas.
Also, a term called, “smart village” has been introduced in this budget where villages will get the benefit from solar power plants. With this budget, CM Raje has brought auspicious days for Rajasthan people with various benefits in wide range of sector. We look for a revamped and modernised Rajasthan in coming two years.
