Google set to merge Android and Chrome

The two renowned and widely used Operating Systems Android and Chrome will soon be merged in order to represent only one Operating system that will sort several purposes. According to The Wall Street Journal, “Google’s two operating systems will soon be one. Chrome OS is going to be combined with Android, and the combined OS could be revealed as soon as next year.”

As per the journal, Chrome will essentially being folded into Android as the preference of Android has been taken far in lead from Chrome. So, the dominant operating system Android will be representing the functionalities of both OS in one. Amalgamating the two OS will mean great transformations so that all the systems can support the same, be it a laptop, tablets, mobile phones, TVs and other gadgets. As per now, Chromebooks will be also receive a new name looking at the new OS.

Sources said it clearly “The Verge has independently confirmed that Chrome OS and Android will combine, with a preview likely to be demonstrated at Google I/O next year. The move marks an effort at Google to reduce the number of independent platforms it has to maintain.”

The news confirmed that the all new OS will release somewhere in 2017. With this surprising move, it is a great opportunity for Google which can satiate various purposes all in one. Google CEO Sundar pichai was made the in charge of both the OS Android and Chrome two years ago and his efforts always portrayed bringing the two in contact. It has been also said “it includes adding support for Android apps inside of Chrome OS. Though support is still limited, some Android apps are up and running on Chrome books. Google also revealed a convertible Android laptop last month, called the Pixel C. Now, it seems like that’s just an early sign of what’s to come.”

Well, with the world most used OS Android this combination will see many eyes wobbling where PC users can also access Android’s Play store.
