There is a good news for those who complaint about unavailability of in-flight connectivity services. On Friday, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) allowed the use of internet and mobile connectivity on flights. So, you don’t need to use airplane mode in flights anymore.

What has TRAI said?
Both Internet and MCA service should be permitted as in-flight connectivity (IFC) services in the Indian airspace. It further added as long as the provision of the service is technically feasible and security concerns can be addressed, there should be no regulatory barrier in the provisioning of any of these services.

There are two ways in which IFC is categorized. First is internet services through Wi-Fi available on board and the second is Mobile Communication on board Aircraft (MCA).
