NASA has made a new astronomical history with discovering new 7 planets which are orbiting around one star. The star is 40 light years away and the discovery was shared at NASA headquarters in Washington.
This rare discovery has been found out of the solar system which is hard to hear. Surprisingly, these planets are same size as earth and have possibilities of possessing water on their surfaces. The possibilities of water on the planet suggest life here on these planets. Michael Gillon, who is the author and astronomer at the University of Belgium and Liege mentioned, “This is the first time so many planets of this kind are found around the same star”.
The star name Trappist-1 is holding these earth sized planets in close propinquity and the mass of these planets suggest that the surface of these planets are rocky and gaseous like the tiny Jupiter. These are surviving in the suitable and lively zone of this star and may be even holding some vast oceans in it.
This is nothing less than wonder that this dim and dwarf star is holding these really considerable set of planets which have been called “7 sisters of planet earth”.
Scientists will study the planet atmospheres in depth and will conclude on if these will be appropriate to support the life system for earth dwellers. More of these planets arise chances of more new life out there in the cosmic world.
Till now, in our knowledge, we were the only planet with life in Milky Way galaxy. This was halfway expected as Sara Seager, the astrophysicist from Massachusetts Institute of Technology says, “When there is one, there is more”.
Triaud said in a teleconference with reporters, “The spectacle would be beautiful because every now and then, you would see another planet, maybe about as big as twice the moon in the sky, depending on which planet you’re on and which planet you look at”.
