Samsung Galaxy On-series smartphone, the Galaxy On Nxt, is now available in India exclusively through Flipkart. Priced at Rs. 18,490, it is available in two different colours – Black and Gold. The dimensions of the handset are 151.7 x 75.0 x 8.0mm and weighs 167 grams.
The smartphone features a full aluminium unibody design with 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display protected by 2.5D Gorilla Glass. It is powered by 1.6GHz Exynos 7870 Octa CPU bundled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage space. The storage capacity is expandable up to 256GB via MicroSD card slot. The Galaxy On Nxt boasts of a fingerprint scanner integrated to the home button and it runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. It’s still not clear when the handset will get the Android 7.0 Nougat upgrade.
The Samsung Galaxy On Nxt supports dual Nano-SIMs and is backed by a 3300mAh battery that is expected to deliver upto 21 hours of talktime on 3G network and 15 hours of internet usage on LTE. The phone also has a Power Planning feature, which controls the usage of battery through Reserve Battery, Extend Battery and Call Forwarding on zero battery.
It has a 13MP rear camera with autofocus shooter and a 8MP front camera, each with f/1.9 aperture. The rear camera is backed by a LED flash and is capable of recording full-HD videos. the phone offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz), WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, Glonass, Beido. It also incorporates a MicroUSB port, Proximity Sensor, S Secure and Accelerometer.
Though Samsung considers the Galaxy On Nxt as the successor of Galaxy On7, it is more likely to be an upgraded version of Galaxy J7 Prime. At the current price, Galaxy On Nxt might compete with Lenovo Z2 Plus, whose starting price in India was Rs. 17,999.
